Lord, we want our times of prayer together to be alive, not routine, so we bring our gatherings to You. Your word shows the early church praying with one accord, united and expectant; breathe that same unity and hunger into us. Give us creativity in how we pray — together and in groups, in silence and aloud, in worship and in intercession — so that no one feels on the outside. Keep us from empty habit and from performing for each other. Help us pray for our community, our nation, and the world, and not only ourselves. Knit our hearts together as we seek You, Lord, and make prayer the engine of all we do. Amen.
