Lord, my wife is making a journey without me, and I will breathe easier when she is back. Your word tells her not to fear, that You are with her, strengthening and upholding her with Your right hand; let those words travel with her. Watch over the road or the sky, the strangers and the schedules, every part of the trip I cannot oversee. Keep her alert and unafraid, and surround her with help if anything goes wrong. Quiet my own imagination when it runs to the worst. I cannot ride along to keep her safe, and I will not pretend I can promise her a trouble-free journey; I can only entrust her to the God who goes with her. Uphold my wife with Your right hand, Lord, and bring her safely home. Amen.
