Lord, my wife is in the middle of a legal battle, and I want to shoulder it alongside her before You. Your word says You take up the cause of the afflicted and secure a fair hearing for the powerless; take up my wife's cause. Hold her steady through the anxiety and the endless waiting. Let the facts come to light and be judged honestly. Give her counsel real skill, and give her composure when she must answer hard questions. Shield our household and our finances from the strain this brings. Keep a grudge from hardening in either of us, whatever the result. The ruling is beyond my power, and I hand it to You rather than my fear. Secure what is just, Lord, and carry my wife through every stage of this. Amen.
