Lord, my daughter is losing her way — making choices that worry me, drifting toward people and paths I can see are not good for her, though she cannot yet. Your word promises that You instruct and teach us in the way we should go, with Your eye upon us. So guide my girl when she will not be guided by me. Be the wisdom she has stopped hearing in my voice. Surround her with better influences, and let truth reach her through doors I cannot open. I am not asking You to script her life the way I would write it; I am asking You to keep her from harm she cannot foresee, and to draw her, in Your time, back toward what is good. Help me stay a calm, trustworthy place she can return to without shame. Counsel my daughter, Lord, with Your loving eye on her, all the way through. Amen.
