Lord, my son is depressed, and he has gone somewhere inside himself that I cannot follow, no matter how I try to reach him. Your word says that when a spirit is overwhelmed, You still know the way it takes — so You know exactly where my boy is, even when he has locked the door to the rest of us. I cannot fix this for him, and I have stopped pretending I can; instead I am handing him to You, the only One who can reach all the way in. Send some small mercy into his heavy days — a moment of relief, a flicker of his old self. Help me stay near without smothering him, patient through the silence, present even when he shuts me out. Keep my own dread from spilling over onto him. And open a way to the right help, because he needs more than a parent's love can give. You know my son's route, Lord, even now. Walk it with him, and bring him home. Amen.
