Lord, my sister has been diagnosed, and I have not been able to stop crying since the call — she is the person I have told every secret to since we were small, and now she is the one I am terrified of losing. Your word says You keep a record of my sorrows and collect my tears in Your bottle; if that is true, then You have already gathered a whole week's worth I have wept over her. So You know exactly how much this hurts. Hold my sister in the fear she keeps making light of for my sake. Give her doctors clear eyes and good plans. And let me be a help to her and not just a wreck — present, useful, calm enough to actually show up. You have counted every tear, Lord. Count hers, count mine, and be merciful to my sister. Amen.
