Lord, my daughter has gone her own way, into places and choices that frighten me, and the distance between us aches every single day. There is nowhere she can go that is beyond Your reach — Your word says even if she made her bed in the depths, You would be there. So be there, in the rooms I cannot enter and through the nights I lie awake imagining. Watch over my girl when I cannot. I am not asking You to drag her back on my timeline, or to remake her into who I want her to be; I am asking You to surround her with Your presence and to work in ways I will never see. Keep a thread of connection between us, even a thin one. Heal my fear before it curdles into control or rejection. And hold me steady through the long, uncertain wait. You are with my daughter even now, Lord, wherever she is. Do not let her go. Amen.
