Lord, my mother is travelling, and at her age every trip makes me a little more anxious than I let her hear. Your word says that even through the darkest valley we need fear no evil, because You are with us and Your staff comforts us; walk that close beside her now. Watch over her on the journey — the airports she finds tiring, the connections she must manage, the strangers whose kindness she will depend on. Send helpful people at every step, and guard her health and her footing along the way. Quiet my worry until she is safely there. I cannot travel at her side or promise the trip will be smooth, but I can entrust my mother to the Shepherd who never leaves. Be with her every mile, Lord, and bring her home. Amen.
