Lord, my mother has an operation coming, and a lifetime of her caring for me has flipped into me waiting and worrying for her. Your word says her Keeper never dozes — watch her now without closing Your eyes. Calm her before they take her down to theatre, and wrap her in Your peace. Steady the consultant and the team and let the procedure achieve what it is for. Hold her safe through sedation and bring her up afterwards. Repay her years of care by caring for her here. What unfolds is not in my hands; I give my mother to the One who never sleeps. Keep her, Lord, through all of it. Amen.
