A prayer for you

Prayer for My Husband Who Is Sick

Carrying a worry you try not to show him.

The LORD will sustain him on his sickbed, and restore him from his bed of illness.
Psalm 41:3 (WEBBE)

Lord, my husband has been laid low by illness, and our whole house feels off-balance with him in bed. Your word says You will hold him up on his sickbed and raise him from it; do that quiet work in the man I married. Bring his temperature down, settle whatever is wrong inside him, and return his appetite and his energy in time. Behind my brave face for him is real fear — meet that too. Give the people treating him a clear picture and the right course of care. Teach me to nurse him without smothering, to pray more than I panic, and to keep loving him through the grumpy, unglamorous parts of being unwell. Raise my husband up again, Lord, in Your timing, and steady me until then. Amen.
