Lord, my husband is travelling away from us, and a part of me does not fully settle until he is home again. Your word says that even at the far edge of the sea Your hand is there to lead and hold us; so reach across whatever distance lies between us and keep Your hand on him. Watch over the flights, the roads, the long hours when he is tired. Guard him in a place I cannot picture and cannot reach, and bring him back to us. Ease the worry that keeps me checking the time and the weather where he is. I cannot travel beside him or pretend nothing could go wrong, but I can trust him to the One whose hand reaches everywhere mine cannot. Carry my husband there and home, Lord. Amen.
