Your word says anxiety in the heart weighs a person down, but a kind word can lift it — so make me a source of those kind words, and the quiet, steady presence behind them. I cannot fix what they are carrying, and I will stop pretending I can; but I can keep showing up, keep checking in, keep reminding them they are not a burden to me. Meet my friend in the low hours. Lighten the weight where You can, and where it stays, help them carry it less alone. Keep me from clumsy advice and turn me toward genuine listening.
