Lord, my friend is sick, and Your word tells me to do exactly what I am doing — to pray for them and to gather others to pray too. So I lift my friend to You, asking for healing and for comfort in the same breath. Ease their suffering, steady their spirit, and give their doctors wisdom. Where the illness has worn them down or frightened them, meet them there. Show me how to be genuinely useful — to bring a meal, run an errand, sit with them, rather than only say I am praying. Surround my friend with a community that shows up. Heal and sustain my friend, Lord, and let them feel carried. Amen.
A prayer for you
Prayer for My Friend Who Is Sick
