Lord, a dear friend of mine is going for surgery, and I do not want them facing it feeling alone. Your word says two are better than one, and that a friend lifts the one who stumbles — let me lift mine now. Calm them beforehand and quiet their nerves. Steady those who will operate and let the procedure do exactly what it should. Watch my friend through sedation and see them safely into the recovery ward. Show me the practical helps that matter — a lift in, a meal after, a face they know when they wake. The outcome is not in my hands, but I can stand with them and bring them to You. Carry my friend through this, Lord. Amen.
A prayer for you
Prayer for My Friend Facing Surgery
Not wanting them to go through it feeling alone.
“Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labour. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow.”
