A prayer for you

Prayer for My Father's Strength

A stretch that is wearing down even his considerable strength.

The LORD, the Lord, is my strength. He makes my feet like deer's feet, and enables me to go in high places.
Habakkuk 3:19 (WEBBE)

Lord, my father is facing a stretch that is wearing down even his considerable strength, and I am asking You to be his. Your word says the Lord is our strength, making our feet like a deer's and lifting us to high places; lift my dad above what is dragging him down. Where his own strength is failing with age or pressure, supply Yours. Steady his footing through uncertain ground, and renew his resolve when he is tempted to give up. Help him accept that needing strength from You is not weakness but wisdom. Be my father's strength, Lord, where his own runs out, and set his feet on steady, high ground. Amen.
