Lord, my father is making a trip, and I want to commit his journey to You. Your word says a man's steps are established by You, and though he stumble he will not fall, because You hold him by the hand; keep that hand on my dad all the way there and back. Watch over his driving or his flight, his stamina, and the moments when age makes travel harder than it once was. Steady his footing where he could fall and his judgement where he is too proud to ask for help. Send people to assist him when I cannot. Calm my worry until he has arrived. I cannot ride along or smooth the road myself, but I can place my father's steps in Your hands. Hold him up the whole way, Lord. Amen.
