Lord, my father carries a quiet restlessness — the kind of man who has always had to be the strong, steady one and rarely lets his guard down. Your word says the soul finds its rest in God alone; lead my dad into that rest. Where pride or habit keeps him from admitting he is weary or worried, soften him. Let him stop bracing against everything for a while and lean on You. Give him peace about the things he cannot control and the changes he did not choose. Help me give him space to simply be, not always be capable. Be my father's rest, Lord, and quiet what churns beneath his calm. Amen.
