Lord, my daughter has diabetes, and I long for her to grow up confident and never ashamed of it. Your word ties reverence for You and turning from harm to the health of the body; guide her into wise care of her own. Help her stay faithful with her management without letting the condition shrink her sense of self. Keep her glucose steady and spare her the complications that worry me. Teach me when to help and when to step back so she learns to run it herself. Surround her with understanding friends and a kind clinic. Keep my daughter whole, Lord — in spirit as much as body — and walk every step of this road beside her. Amen.
A prayer for you
Prayer for My Daughter With Diabetes
Wanting her to grow up strong and unashamed of it.
“Don't be wise in your own eyes. Fear the LORD, and depart from evil. It will be health to your body, and nourishment to your bones.”
