Lord, my daughter has lost her baby, and I am grieving on two levels at once — the grandchild I had already begun to love and will now never hold, and my own child, in a pain I would give anything to spare her. Your word says You keep every tear in Your bottle, none of them unseen — so You have counted hers, and mine, through all of this. There is a particular helplessness in being the parent who cannot kiss this better, who has to watch her daughter hurt and simply stand near. Teach me to bear that helplessness without filling it with the wrong words. Let me follow her lead — closer when she wants me, quieter when she does not. Honour the little life that was, however brief it was, as real and worth grieving. And walk my daughter through a sorrow that is hers to walk, with me beside her. Keep every tear, Lord — hers and mine. Amen.
