Lord, I think about my children's future — the people they will become, the paths they will take, the world they will inherit — and it is more than I can hold. Your word says You know the plans You have for them: plans for peace and not for harm, to give them a future and a hope. So I entrust their tomorrows to You. Go ahead of them into the years I will not control and may never see. Give them a faith of their own, not just one inherited from me. Lead them toward work that means something, relationships that are good, and a life that is truly theirs. Where I am tempted to script their future out of my own fears or ambitions, help me hold it loosely and trust You with it. Guard them on the long road ahead. You hold my children's future, Lord; I place it, and them, in Your hands. Amen.
