A prayer for you

Prayer for My Child's Courage

A heart that feels too small for what it's facing.

For I, the LORD your God, will hold your right hand, saying to you, 'Don't be afraid. I will help you.'
Isaiah 41:13 (WEBBE)

Lord, my little one is scared of something that looms huge in their small world, and I am asking You to plant bravery in their heart. Your word says You take us by the hand and tell us not to fear, promising to help; take my child's hand in the frightening moment. Whatever is towering over them — the dark, the dentist, the first day at a new place — stand between them and the fear. Give them a flicker of bravery to do the thing anyway, and the certainty that someone bigger is right there. Help me steady my own voice so I pass on calm and not panic. Tell my child, somehow, that they are never brave alone. Take my little one by the hand, Lord, and walk them into it. Amen.
