Lord, my child is on the mend, and there are whole afternoons now that feel almost normal — an appetite, a game, a laugh I had started to miss. Your word says the joy of the LORD is our strength, and I am watching that be literally true, joy returning to my child like colour to a faded photograph and strength following close behind. Help me build on these good days without bracing for them to end. Show me practical ways to rebuild what the illness took — the routines, the friendships, the confidence. Keep the after-effects gentle and the setbacks few. And let our home fill back up with the ordinary joy that is its own kind of healing. Thank You for the strength rising in my child, Lord; help us live in it. Amen.
