Lord, we are deep in the chemotherapy now, and my child is tired in a way no child should know, and honestly so am I. Your word promises that those who wait for You renew their strength — that they mount up with wings like eagles, run and not grow weary, walk and not faint. We are not soaring today; we are barely walking. So renew strength in my child's worn-out body, the kind that does not come from rest or food but from You. Give them moments that feel almost ordinary between the hard ones. And renew me as well, so I can keep showing up bright for them when I feel anything but. Teach us both to wait on You, and to find that the strength really does come. Lift my child, Lord, on wings neither of us has. Amen.
A prayer for you
Prayer for My Child During Chemotherapy
Deep in treatment, when both of you are worn down, this is a place to ask for strength that isn't your own.
“Those who wait for the LORD will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint.”
