Lord, the surgery is over and my child is mending, and I am learning that the waiting is not finished — only changed. Your word tells me to commit my way to You, to trust You, and that You will act — so I am committing not only myself but my child's recovery, and the results still to come, into Your hands. Knit the wound, and keep my little one safe from setback. Give me patience for a healing that cannot be hurried, and the wisdom to know when to comfort and when to let them rest. Quiet the questions I cannot answer about what comes next. I commit my child's body, and the road ahead I cannot see, to You who can be trusted to act. Hold my child, Lord, and the outcome I am handing over. Amen.
