Lord, I am moving to a new city, and beneath the boxes and logistics is a real ache of leaving the familiar behind. Your word promises that You are with us and will keep us wherever we go; carry that promise with me to this new place. Ease the grief of goodbyes and the loneliness of starting over where no one knows me. Help me find a home, good neighbours, a community, and eventually a church and friends. Settle my family through the upheaval, and give us patience while a strange place slowly becomes home. Where the change feels overwhelming, steady me. Go with me to this new city, Lord, and make it a place where we belong. Amen.
