Lord, I have lost my baby, and the grief is bigger than I know how to carry. This was my child — wanted, loved, already part of all my hopes — and now there is an emptiness where a whole future used to be. I am not going to pretend I am okay, and I need You not to rush me. Your word does not explain death away; it shows me Jesus standing at a grave and weeping. So weep with me. Sit with me in this loss without offering me a reason I do not want and could not accept. Hold the ache in my body and the ache in my heart, both of them real, both deep. Let me grieve in my own way and my own time, however long it takes, without shame and without a timeline. And where my arms are empty, let me feel that I am not alone in the emptiness. Be near to me, broken-hearted as I am. Stay. Amen.
