A prayer for you

Prayer for Good Test Results

The not-knowing is its own kind of torment.

He will not be afraid of evil news. His heart is steadfast, trusting in the LORD.
Psalm 112:7 (WEBBE)

Lord, I am waiting for test results, and the not-knowing is its own kind of torment — every worst-case scenario plays out in my mind. Your word describes a heart that is not afraid of bad news because it is anchored in You; steady my heart like that while I wait. I will be honest: I am praying hard for good news, and I long to hear that all is well. But I also bring You my fear of the other outcome, and ask for the grace to face whatever the results say, held by You. Quiet the dread between now and the phone call. Whatever the news, do not leave my side. Steady my heart, Lord, in the waiting, and meet me with the results. Amen.
