Lord, I live with pain that does not let up, and the relentlessness of it wears me down more than I can explain. You told Paul, who begged for his thorn to be removed, that Your grace was enough and Your power is made perfect in weakness; I am clinging to that, because I feel weak most days. I do ask You for relief and for healing — I will not pretend I do not long for it. And if the pain stays, give me grace to bear what I cannot escape, and keep it from hardening me. Help me find good doctors, real treatment, and people who understand. Be strong in my weakness, Lord, and carry me through the days the pain wins. Amen.
