A prayer for you

Prayer for Chronic Illness

The hardest part is that it has no end date.

Therefore we don't faint, but though our outward person is decaying, yet our inward person is renewed day by day.
2 Corinthians 4:16 (WEBBE)

Lord, I live with a chronic illness, and the hardest part is that it has no end date — this is my life now, not a season I am waiting out. Your word says that though the outer person is wasting away, the inner person is renewed day by day; renew me inwardly when my body keeps failing. I do ask for healing, and I will keep asking. But on the days it does not come, give me grace to live well anyway, and keep this illness from swallowing my identity and my joy. Lead me to good care and understanding people. Renew me day by day, Lord, on the inside, and walk this long road with me. Amen.
