A prayer for you

Prayer for Caregivers of the Sick

The exhaustion of it is more than you let anyone see.

Let's not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season if we don't give up.
Galatians 6:9 (WEBBE)

Lord, I am caring for someone who is sick, and the exhaustion of it — the broken sleep, the constant vigilance, the grief — is more than I let anyone see. Your word says not to grow weary in doing good, because in time we will reap if we do not give up; meet me in my weariness now. Renew my strength for the long days and longer nights. Give me patience when I am stretched thin, and tenderness when frustration creeps in. Remind me to care for myself too, and to let others help rather than carrying it all alone. Where I feel invisible, see me. Sustain me, Lord, in caring for the one I love, and hold us both. Amen.
