Lord, we stand before You to dedicate this child — to give back, in gratitude, the gift You have given us. Like Hannah, we can say: for this child we prayed, and You answered, and so we give this little one back to You for all the days of their life. We know this child is not finally ours but Yours, only lent into our arms for a while. Help us raise them to know You, to feel safe and deeply loved, to grow into the person You made them to be. Give us wisdom and patience for the years ahead, and grace for the times we will get it wrong. Surround this child with a community of faith and love. And whatever life holds for them, hold them. We dedicate our baby to You today, Lord, with open and grateful hands. Amen.
