Lord, before this day fully begins, I turn to You. Your word asks to hear Your loving kindness in the morning and to know the way I should walk; that is my prayer as I start. Thank You for the gift of a new day and the breath to live it. Whatever it holds — the planned and the unexpected — go with me through it. Order my hours, steady my heart, and make me a blessing to the people I meet. Where I am tempted to rush ahead of You, slow me down to walk with You instead. I lift my soul to You at the start of this day, Lord; lead me, and let me walk Your way. Amen.
