Lord, I want to begin today with thanks instead of taking Your goodness for granted. Your word tells me to give thanks in everything, for this is Your will for me; so I pause to count the gifts I usually rush past. Thank You for life and breath, for the people I love, for provision and shelter, for Your endless patience with me. Thank You even for the hard things that have shaped me and the prayers You answered differently than I asked. Train my eyes to notice the good woven through ordinary days, and turn my complaining into gratitude. Let thankfulness change my whole outlook, not just my words. Receive my thanks, Lord, today and every day, and make me a genuinely grateful person. Amen.
