Lord, as I tuck my child into bed, I pray Your old blessing over them: the Lord bless you and keep you, and give you peace. Thank You for this precious little one and for another day with them. Soothe the fears that come in the dark, and give them sweet, safe sleep tonight. Send Your angels to watch over their bed. Let them wake up happy and rested, ready for tomorrow. Help me raise them to know how much You love them, even more than I do — and that is a lot. Watch over my child tonight, Lord, and give them peaceful dreams. Goodnight, and thank You for them. Amen.
